With holiday shopping approaching, here’s a round up of some of my favorite travel gifts for travel and photography enthusiasts. Whether you are seeking gifts to streamline packing, minimize motion sickness or help with trip planning, these are some of my must-have products.
Travel Gifts – Accessories
The durable TSA approved AirQuart provides a stylish and practical solution for your liquid carry-on items. It not only allows you to increase packing efficiency, but also eliminate plastic bags. I’ve been using mine for three years and it looks brand new! Flanabags come in a variety of designs and make great stocking stuffers/travel gifts for both men and women.
Buy it on Amazon here.
Eagle Creek Pack It Cubes
To streamline packing for business and personal trips, I always travel with:
- 2 medium clean dirty cubes . These handy cubes have two sides – one is breathable mesh and the other is water-resistant to quarantine any dirty/damp clothes. At the start of the trip, I use one side for pants and the other for shirts. Then, as the trip progresses, I store clean clothes on the mesh side and dirty clothes on the water-resistant side. Buy here.
These travel gifts are especially helpful on scuba diving trips. After unpacking dive gear on the main deck, carry the cubes to your cabin. The packing cubes also minimize the risk of forgetting clothes at hotels.
TIP: To simplify unpacking, color code by family member.
This cross-body mini purse/wallet is the perfect travel companion. It securely holds my passport, phone, credit cards, money and receipts in one of the four pockets. The detachable strap allows you to use it as a cross body purse or stick it in a larger bag or camera backpack as a wallet. As an added bonus, the main pocket is made from RFID blocking materials, protecting travelers from electronic pickpocketing. Purchase from Amazon here.
For anyone who suffers from motion sickness, this travel gift will be game-changing. I’ve been using this miraculous solution for seven years to relieve motion sickness on boats, cars and planes. You can even put it on after you experience symptoms and find relief!
TIP: I always travel with two extra CR2025 batteries. One set of batteries typically lasts for 150 hours if using setting “3”.
While I previously had the Bose over the ear noise cancelling headphones, I prefer these for traveling. This travel gift is compact and great for watching movies on planes, listening to podcasts or falling asleep to a white noise app. Pick up a set at Amazon here.
I worked with the Art of Wanderlust founder to develop this fun and super soft t-shirt, which makes the perfect gift for travelers in your life or those that love penguins. It’s slim fitting and flattering, making an ideal travel companion. Find this comfy tee here.
Travel Gifts – Photography
These travel gifts are great for protecting cameras from scratches when you want to carry a camera in your purse rather than in a camera bag. Not only is it soft and padded, but it’s also super stylish. Pick up this convenient tote here.
These waterproof and windproof gloves are great for photographing on cooler days. The fleece lining keeps hands warm and comfy. And, the fold down index finger and thumb allow you to easily access touch screens without removing your gloves. Amazon offers them here.
Travel Gifts – Environmentally Friendly
These reusable straws are an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic straws, which are polluting our oceans and negatively affecting sea life. This stocking stuffer set comes with two wide straws, two curved straws, and a straw brush. I always carry them with me in my purse or backpack to enjoy juices and smoothies on the run. Preserve the environment here.
Eliminate the need to buy bottled water when traveling with this rechargeable water purifier. It destroys virus, bacteria and protozoa, including Giardiasis.
Since purchasing this, I haven’t bought bottled water anywhere in the world in THREE YEARS.
TIP: I prefer the Ultra USB rechargeable version – it means I don’t need to buy batteries. Each charge will allow you to sterilize 1 liter of water 50 times; it sterilizes 1 liter in 90 seconds! Pick up your SteriPEN here.
Travel Gifts – Planning
Globes and maps make the perfect travel gifts. I love tracking where I’ve been and dreaming about where I’d like to travel next. Use blue pins to mark past adventures and white pins for future adventures. Inspire adventures here.
Taking inspiration from their six-year journey across the seven continents, Mike & Anne of HoneyTrek.com have written National Geographic’s first book on couples travel. In this gorgeous coffee-table-meets-guidebook, they’ve pinpointed their 75 favorite destinations, best tips, most inspiring stories, and handiest travel hacks. It’s organized by type of experience – so no matter if you (or that couple on your holiday list) are into beaches, mountains, deserts, or road trips, you’ll find amazing new places to match your style. Start planning your next trip here.
I personally love the timing and accommodation recommendations as well as an incredibly helpful Insider HoneyTrek travel tip.

The Marine Mammal Center is the largest marine mammal hospital in the world and has treated 24,000 patients to date. The Center’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and release marine mammals back to the wild. Gift an adopted animal to someone here and support the center’s important work and research.
My aunt who lives in Missoula, Montana, introduced me to this divine tea. It’s a relaxing tea before bedtime during the colder months. The delectable scents of chamomile, rosehips, peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen and lavender will immediately entice and relax you. It’s now become a favorite of every friend who has tried it.
